Memorial Day Weekend is almost here. It is time for parades, cookouts, and events to celebrate the unofficial first weekend of summer. It is also a time to remember those who fought and served for our country. There are many events happening around Seattle and Equinox Apartments for you to attend. Keep reading to learn more about some great Seattle Memorial Day events below.
Northwest Folklife Festival
May 22nd-25th in Seattle you can experience one of the largest free Folklife festivals in the United States. The Northwest Folklife Festival is held at Lower Queen Anne, Seattle Center. This festival features over 7,000 diverse performances. This includes over 100 cultural dance showcases, workshops, arts vendors, food and activities for all ages. Memorial Day Weekend Fun Run
This weekend you can get out and start your summer workout with the Memorial Day Weekend Fun Run. This May 23rd run starts at 10am at Magnuson Park. There are plenty of different races for all levels, and your furry friend can even tag along to play in the dog park. The race has entry fees from $18-$28 dollars. Memorial Day Ceremony
This Monday head to Boeing Field, Museum of Flight in Seattle to remember our service men and women. The Memorial Day service will start at 11am with music and presentations. This event is to honor anyone that has served in our nation’s military. Also, all active and veteran military personnel will receive free admission to the museum with identification.
