Seattle can be cold and windy, but it can also be beautiful in the summer. We also have a gorgeous coastline that is fun to explore on nights off or weekends with friends. What are the best beaches for different activities though in Seattle? There are many options close to Equinox, but here are a few that we want to check out on our next day off.
Right in Seattle, you can catch a salmon right in the Puget sound. How would you like to relax on a sandy beach and hook a gorgeous pink salmon on a relaxing weekend? This is possible at Point no Point. The gorgeous white beach at the top of the Kitsap Peninsula is perfect for fishing. This tip of the peninsula acts as a traffic cop for many fish including the pink salmon making it the perfect place to fish for a day.
20 minutes from downtown in Renton is a perfect beach to relax with a book and your sunscreen. Friends and family can enjoy a nice day at the beach without traveling down the coast. Make sure to check out Lake Washington’s southern tip and Gene Coulon Memorial Beach Park. There is a sizable beach, playground, and grassy area for kids and adults of all ages to enjoy. It will be a nice break from your neighborhood pool, and a perfect way to relax and grab some sun.

This beach has an extraordinary view of the Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains to watch as you take a run or throw a frisbee on the beach. The park also has an off leash dog area towards the northern section of the park. This is your perfect beach for that warm day when you just want to get out and have fun.
